Why are new maps all getting the same treatment?
« on: January 10, 2023, 03:15:13 AM »

The latest maps all seem to have the creators selecting all plant types at once and they cover all the land along the waterways.
This causes a few problems with playing them.
1) no way to set up a pump to get water.
2) no ripe berries for picking food
3) no space to plant crops, it's all covered by the creator.
4) to few trees in range to build your infrastructure.

A second common issue, the creators do not get the water filled in so you have to wait for days until there is water or growing plants.

while i'm not going to defend such design, two notes.
1,3) you can use destroy resources to clear that stuff.
2) i, havent actually found a way to spawn ripe berries. only mature or seedling.

Also, i've put in a map that doesnt have those issue but, may challenge your game knowledge.

when placing vegetation unselect the random growth box on the bottom of the vegetation selection box. then every plant is completely mature so berries are ready to harvest.
